It's not over.

Karroubi's missive, published in today's edition of his party's newspaper National Trust, decried the "reactionary fanaticism" of Ahmadinejad's circle and urged "resistance against dictatorship, repression and reactionary and Taliban Islam." He condemned "the invisible, faceless forces," a reference to the pro-Ahmadinejad elements in the security apparatus that he said prevented people from using the levers of democracy to effect change. Rather than heed people's peaceful demands, the security forces attacked them "with boots and batons," said the letter by Karroubi, a mid-level cleric. "The heart of the young girl was pierced with a bullet," he said, in reference to Neda Agha-Soltan, a 26-year-old shot and killed June 20 during a protest. "People in militia uniforms shot people from rooftops and hundreds were arrested in their homes and streets and beaten to death." He vowed, "Though the election and events in the postelection period have seriously damaged the pillars of the system and [the people's] trust in the system, be sure the votes and the powerful will of people finally will prevail."
